In Bellingham, there is a spot called Post Point. You must walk on the train tracks for a while to get to this beach in which you may find some hobos smoking some unmentionables. But you will also find a beautiful 180 degree view of the San Juans and some fire pits in which you can …

DANK
Shabazz Palaces released a new album, Black Up. They revamp hip-hop with Grimy beats and lyrics that make you think. Here’s a sicky icky music video which also happens to be a mixtape of the entire album…yeeee.
This is an excuse that I’m making.
Lack of blog posts? Yes. The excuse? End of summer school. I promise we won’t disappoint. Here’s to you, a jolly mix of errthang.

“DICE AND DYNAMITE LIKE DOLOMITE”
The Fugees, made of Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michael, have their own flavor influenced by their Haitian background. Super dirty beats laced with mad lyrics are a regular thing for them. This song is in a CD in my car and I promise you that I will be giggin’ in the drivers seat listening to them. In 4th grade, these songs allowed me to develop a taste in old skool beats and the rapper style that defined the 90′s.
DANCEHALL FOR YALL
Considering that it had been the second time I’d seen Major Lazer, I felt as if I had been graced by da dancehall god. Dancehall leaked out of Jamaica in the 1970′s with its hyped-up sound and rump-shakin’ riddims. Similiar to that of its brotha Reggae, Dancehall became a popular sound that has made its way into the the music of Mad Decent‘s Major Lazer (Diplo and Switch). Putting on the show of a lifetime with booty poppin’ moves and hype-man, Skerrit Bwoy, Major Lazer throws down a show to make your head throb. With their most famous tune, “Pon De Floor,” they have popularized a dancehall move known as “Daggering.” To some, daggering is an innovative form of Caribbean dance, for others, it is simply an excuse to get down with the females on the dance floor. Check out Skerrit Bwoy’s videos on Daggering to see what I mean…
“NEXT LEVEL $HET”

- Die Antwoord (from Billboard.com)
Making a name for themselves, Die Antwoord sends chills down your spines as they drop their nasty beats and zany lyrics produced by Mad Descent’s Diplo (!). These South African artists, Yolandi Vi$$er and Ninja, gift us with surprises and obscurity, but if you’re ready for them they surely are ready for you. Give them a chance for they are not your average joes. I will not lie, Die Antwoord is sick. If you please to hate, feel free to do elsewhere because we Bounce in Peace mo’ foe.
Get on your feet!
There are five components that give Moombahton that special dash of booty-bumpin’ pizazz:
- Percussion
- Choppy vocals
- Craaazy build-ups
- Layers ‘n’ layers of acapellas
- Beefy Beats
